|Why Elect John?|
As I walk through the precincts of the 10th district and talk with my fellow neighbors, I'm frequently asked why I'm running for state senate. I imagine many of you have come to my web site, wondering the same thing.
I’m running for State Senate because I’m fed up with excuses from the politicians in Springfield.
Our state desperately needs a fresh start. It’s time for common sense and new ideas.
What qualifies me to represent my neighbors?
I’m a proud father of four and husband of 25 years.
I’m a former prosecutor who put hundreds of violent criminals behind bars.
I’m a coach and community volunteer.
I’m an attorney and small business owner in Edison Park.
And I’m NOT a politician. I’ve never held elected office.
I’m not trying to protect my state pension or do favors for special interests.
I’m running to protect the things that matter most— our kids, our seniors, our neighborhoods and our jobs.
If you agree that we need a neighbor, not just another politician, in Springfield, then I respectfully ask for your vote in the Democratic primary election on February 2, 2010.
