Illinois deserves open, honest government.
Our residents feel we have the most corrupt government in the nation. As a former prosecutor I am committed to seeing corrupt public officials put behind bars, but I am equally committed to making sure that history does not repeat itself. I am tired of being a hard-working taxpayer in a state that has become a late-night television punch line.

As we move toward the general election on November 2, I'll be out knocking on doors on a daily basis. I wish I could meet each and every one of my 10th district neighbors, to hear your concerns about making a living in Illinois today. We all face the same issues of rising taxes, declining property values, unemployment, unstable markets... Our state budget is in a shambles.
Fiscal year 2009 ended with a $4 billion dollar budget deficit. As a former accountant for small businesses and a small business owner myself, I know the state cannot continue its reckless spending, and must find ways to cut costs.

As I walk through the precincts of the 10th district and talk with my fellow neighbors, I'm frequently asked why I'm running for state senate. I imagine many of you have come to my web site, wondering the same thing.
I’m running for State Senate because I’m fed up with excuses from the politicians in Springfield.
Our state desperately needs a fresh start. It’s time for common sense and new ideas.
